What does this mean for my shop?

For most of our users, nothing. Omnique by default logs into the latest version. Version 4 is an older version. The vast majority of our users are using Version 5; it is only a handful that are still using Version 4.

Our shop currently uses version 4. Why is it being discontinued?

The biggest reason is that Omnique version 4 requires the use of Internet Explorer, which will be discontinued by Microsoft on August 17th, 2021. Once that happens, Omnique 4 will no longer be accessible. The infrastructure that was used to build Omnique Version 4 over a decade ago is not compatible with modern internet browsers.

I don’t want to use Omnique version 5. Is there any way around this?

Unfortunately, no. We understand how frustrating this can be, and how difficult it can be to learn a new system. The good news is that we have many opportunities to help your shop get ready with this transition through training at no extra cost. The functionality you’ve become familiar with in Omnique version 4 is all in Version 5! We will be happy to show you where it is!

Okay, how can I get trained on the latest version of Omnique?

We have several options available to you, all at no cost! We have an interactive weekly webinar every Wednesday which you and your staff can sign up for by clicking this link:

Will my current records (Estimates, Repair Orders, Invoices, etc…) be accessible in the new version?

Yes! All of your data is currently accessible in the latest version of Omnique! You will not have to do anything to transfer your existing shop data into the latest version.

When is the last day Omnique version 4 will be accessible?

It was important to us that we give you a sizable warning about this change so you can make this transition as seamless as possible. The final day that Omnique version 4 will be available is March 31st, 2021. We recommend you schedule training on Omnique version 5 as soon as possible and make the switch right away. Omnique version 4 will exist alongside version 5 for a while to help you make this change, but the sooner you train, the better!
